Virtual Worlds collaborative timeline

Annie Ok from Metaverse Meetup has just started a collaborative timeline of virtual worlds on Dipity, a tool to make and share interactive timelines. It’s open for anyone to edit and easy to embed. Feel free to add your 2 cents!

    Yes and several people (including my alter ego Consiliera) have already added or extended the timeline and it’s growing fast. I’d like to ask everybody here to look through your old hard drives and backups and try to find any old screenshots of your avatar in one of the earlier worlds like Alphaworld (Active Worlds) or the like. That could be interesting to show how virtual worlds are changing visually over time. What do you think?

    I absolutely agree with you, maybe that’s a story for a visual timeline of virtual worlds? that doesn’t sound like a bad idea, doesn’t it? do we have enough ‘memory’ to do that? btw, amongst the roots of virtual worlds, role playing is still missing out from that timeline, I’m going to add that tomorrow with some other stuff
