    New stuff online

    0 Comment Share it

Apart from a number of minor but essential modifications,  and apart from the new blogging and Twitter integrations, here’s a list of new stuff on Myrl:
    - new layout for the what’s up area
    - new layout for the wall
    - myrling points: 2 karma points now equal to 1 myrl point, which means more myrling for the […]

Blog posts as News, with Myrling and comments enabled

Another new feature has just been deployed: every blog post that you publish in your personal myrl blog will now be automatically circulated in the myrling system. This means that every post you do will be published in the Metaverse homepage, will be myrlable and will be 100% as every other item on the platform. […]

If you have a Twitter account you might have wanted to show your feed on your avatar profile… now you finally can! There’s a box on the right side of the profile that lets you add and show your Twitter feed. It’s actually designed to integrate all sorts of feeds, but since new, deeper integrations […]

    Interoperability or Outeroperability?

    0 Comment Share it

This is a great post by Nic Mitham from Kzero, published in November 2007. With our public beta launch approaching it makes definitely sense sharing it again as the Outeroperability concept describes very well what we’re trying to achieve with Myrl:
Outeroperability means having a central hub or destination for all avatars wishing to move between […]

    What we’re working on… part 2

    0 Comment Share it

One of the first new things you’ll see next week is the new integration of personal myrl blogs into the myrling system. With this new mod every blog post becomes a news item and so it can be myrled and get published on the homepage. Why didn’t we think of this before? No idea, but […]

    What we’re working on… part 1

    0 Comment Share it

After more than one month in beta testing we have received an amazing feedback, I’d say a mix of glorious pleasures and some pains… Here we’ll be focusing on pains, to turn them into pleasures as quick as possible
What most of us have been noticing since the very first sign up, is that […]

Linden Lab: Interoperability Protocols Before Open Source

    2 Comments Share it

Linux users seems pretty interested in how, when, and if Linden Lab will take Second Life completely open source. Last month Linux.com spoke to Director of Open Source Development Rob Lanphier about the difficulties of integrating various Second Life components with an open source approach. This week LinuxWorld asked Joe Miller, VP of Platform Technology […]
